Great Book Alert!

What's a healthier choice... an Einstein's multi-grain bagel w/low fat cream cheese or a glazed donut from Duncan Donuts?   Read on to find out!

"Eat This, Not That" by David Zinczenko & Matt Goulding, is a great reference book (more like a reality check!), that compares what choices are healthier than it's competition, from the supermarket to fast food.  Some of the findings will leave your mouth hanging just off the floor.  It just goes to show, you have to KNOW (& not assume) what you are putting into your body, eating homemade at home, is always the best.  Advertising can be very deceiving, as you will see!

This book was featured on Oprah today.  They also make a version that is aimed more towards kids.  All books are listed on Amazon.com and priced between $11-$14.

By the way, it's the donut!  It has only 190 calories compared to the 500 in the bagel with low fat cream cheese.  Either one gets you nearly ZERO nutrients and a whole lotta sugar, so neither are a GOOD option, just interesting to know!  Better off with the basics, the good ol 1-2 egg & whole wheat toast combo!!  Awww...protein & fiber are so refreshing!
